It’s over
Ahh ... the election is over. Thank God. Now can we get back to everyday living? For anyone who wonders, I voted for Bush. I held my nose as I did so, because I disagree with many of his policies and ideals. But the shenanigans of the left ... both the extreme and mainstream ... turned me so against that party, I ended up voting a straight Republican ticket. So, congratulations, Michael Moore ... you convinced me to vote Bush. So did leftie loonies like Daily "Screw Them" Kos, Indymedia and Democratic Underground. (You'll have to Google for those references ... I will not link to them.) I really tried to find out what the Democrats stood for, politically ... but I only found hatred, anti-American sentiment and foaming-at-the-mouth rants. No thanks.
Kerry proved to be unfit, in my eyes, to hold the nation's top office. Shady tales from Viet Nam, slandering of our military, 20 years of doing nothing in the Senate ... and more recently, his utter disrespect for our military, our coalition partners and the PM of Iraq ... that baked the cake. You're a slimy putz, Mr Kerry ... I wouldn't vote for you for local dog catcher.
What it ultimately came down to, for me, is the issue on the war on terror. Kerry has no plan ... nothing that I could see working. Mr Bush, however, got tough on terrorists and the countries that harbor, support and sponser them. Kerry wanted to issue more sanctions, let the UN decide our actions, and kowtow to other countries who may not have our best interests in mind. All of the other issues ... healthcare, gay marriage, the economy ... none of that would matter if we are overrun by terrorism. It's coming, and if we are not vigilant and ready to act, we could end up like the Netherlands or Sweden ... with Muslim fundamentalists dictating our way of life.
And now I am just disgusted with the way many are carrying on about the results of the election. Get the fuck over it. The world will go on, America will still be America ... oh, but that's what they hate. Geez ... time to grow the hell up, people.
Time to take a chill pill ... rock on.
