Convergence!
Totally on a lark, I decided to include a run by the mall today, to see the anti-war protesters. I took my cameras with me to record the experience. What a hoot!See the still pictures here:

And here's the video:
It was actually kind of fun. Had I not been out-numbered by 50 to 1, I might have engaged some of them to see if they could further elaborate on their signs and slogans. But I am pretty sure they were just regurgitating all the talking points and that would have been a rather precarious endeavor. Discretion is the better part of valor, my mama always said.
Maybe next time ...

Amusing? Pathetic is a bit more accurate. I am a highly logical, very pragmatic person. I don't make decisions or form opinions based on emotion. The anti-war talking points simply don't pass the logic sniff test, and I would bet that probably 3/4 of those folks out there could not elaborate in reasonable terms just what their little signs say. The other 1/4 would string together a bunch of talking points and congratulate themselves on making such a wonderful argument. Pee-uwww!
There are plenty of reasons to be against this war - "Bush Lied" "War for Oil" "Halliburton blah blah" "Fascism this and that" "Gitmo-Abu Ghraib" and anything dripping or spewing from Cindy Sheehan ain't any of them. But there are just as many reasons why this war had to happen, just not the way it is happening currently.
If all that was too confusing, just refer to the graphic at the top of the site - that's not just a logo.
