Big Orange Michael has issued a Blog Challenge: What Makes you Happy?. Bloggers are challenged to post about something that makes them happy that day, every day in August.A major challenge indeed ... for me at least. Anyway, here's mine for August 1 ...
Today I am happy that my daughter and I have had the chance to heal and rediscover our relationship. While I love and adore all three of my children beyond what any words can describe, there is a special bond between a mother and a daughter ... much like the special bond between father and son. There is that unique understanding that comes from being the same gender, experiencing so many of the same things. My baby girl and I have traveled down some rough roads, but we have continued on to smoother paths ... stronger, wiser and even more in love than ever before, our reward for persevering through it all. I so look forward to watching her bloom into womanhood ... she is so amazing, wonderful and precious, it takes my breath away.
