Oh ... Really?

Be Careful What You Pray For

I have often, as a Christian, wondered if my prayers ever did me any good. Those with lots more Biblical knowledge than I always assure me that if I pray from the heart, in Jesus' name, that God hears me. Then I wonder if I am getting any kind of an answer, or if I think I am, am I understanding it correctly?

I think you are being a normal human being. Pausing, reflecting, questioning, evaluating and eventually moving forward, stronger and more confident. Sometimes it's necessary to hide under the covers and eat ice cream. Sometimes it's time to shout from a soapbox. This just sounds like one of the blanket times.

There is rarely any guidance, and few, if any, any signs... That's where "free will" comes in. To me, the best most anyone can pray for is Faith --- which tends to bring Courage and Acceptance, the two least selfish things you can ask for.

But, hey, I hear I'm the Antichrist, anyway, so what do I know? wink
