Irish Rose Pillow My first completed project ... I found the pattern for this at Digital Granny's Virtual Afghan. Each of the four squares is stitched in the round ... first the rose, then the leaves and finally the lace. The squares are then joined together. The back is a large square of the lace stitch, bordered in single crochet with the rose color. I used the same stich used for joining the four small squares to join the front and back ... sc in first sc of front, ch 2, drop yarn, pull loop up from top of back piece in third sc, ch 1 ... repeat on three side, insert pillow form (I used a 14" pillow) then join the fourth side.

I am also working on the 63 square afghan in the same colors. It should make a really nice set.
